I just got back from The Summer Film School in Uherske Hradiste, Czech Reoublic. What a great time we had!
From all the movies the most interesting was Estamira by Marcos Prado. It´s a document of a 63 year-old schizophrenic woman who has spent the last 20 years of her life scavenging a gigantic rubbish dump near Rio de Janeiro.
Estamira has not only great story but also wonderful camera. This socio-ecological movie is really worth of seeing and so are Prado´s photos. So go ahead and google something up.
